Grown as a House
Plant in the UK visitors are often amazed to see how the various
Ficus behave in the tropics. The aerial roots eventually form
massive secondary trunks while the surface root system nearly
mirrors the canopy above. This young specimen
is to be found not far from the entrance to Welchmans Gully in
Barbados.
